The Board of Commissions for Douglas County Fire District #5 consists of residents or property owners who are elected by the public. They serve six-year, staggered terms.
The Board establishes fire district policy through the passage of resolutions and ordinances. The Board also adopts the district budget, approves appropriations and levies taxes.
